At Peer Landscaping one of our favorite hardscape elements to build are walkways and pathways. After all, these man-made design features are the best way to provide a safe and convenient way for people to walk through their outdoor space to get up close and personal with the beautiful plants, trees, and flowers we’ve used in our landscape design. We want you to easily enjoy your lovely Southwest Florida landscape.
Pathways are typically narrow and made of natural materials such as mulch, pine straw, or crushed gravel. Paths are designed to blend in with the natural surroundings, and are often used to create a rustic or natural look. Their purpose is to connect different parts of the garden and they are used for accessing specific walkable areas.
Walkways are considered to be a true hardscape, in that they are usually made on a wider strip of ground of man-made materials such as pavers, bricks, or concrete. Walkways are used to provide a safe and convenient way to move through the garden as they are used as a main path of travel.
